AE 2024 VETERAN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ATTENTION ALL VETERANS and Active Duty members in transition! AT EASE! Veterans Magazine is seeking unpaid interns for 2024.

We're looking for individuals who can assist with social media content creation, graphic design, and remote administrative duties for our Editor. To apply, you must be a Veteran or Active Duty member in transition and have access to a computer and the internet.

All internship positions are remote and flexible based on the intern’s availability. Interns will be named on the legal page of our publication and will receive an official letter of recommendation at the end of their term.

  • CONTENT CREATOR

    Looking for a social media wizard! Someone who has their pulse on content creation that appeals to Veterans and the Veteran community.

    Opportunities include:

    | Creating content and garnering followers for our TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X accounts.

    | ‘Live’ stream for the promotion of AT EASE! Veterans Magazine, upcoming issues, articles/stories, and Veteran related content.

  • GRAPHIC DESIGNER

    Do you want to hone your graphic design skills and get ‘Real World’ practical experience at the same time?

    We are looking for a ‘kick-ass’ graphic designers who have the skills to meet our standards of creativity and excellence.

    Opportunities include:

    | Developing and maintaining a Branding Board based on our current branding specs.

    | Creating visually expressive infographics.

    | Opportunity to show off design skills for article layout

    *Designers must have own computer, internet access. and Adobe InDesign. Photoshop, and Illustrator.

  • Publishing Intern to the Editor

    Are you interested in dipping your toes in the water of magazine publishing? We are looking for an intern for the Publishing Intern to the Editor role.

    Opportunities include:

    | ‘Behind the Scenes’ access to a ‘real world’ magazine publisher and all the elements needed to meet deadlines for a print publication.

    | Participating in networking with Veteran-owned businesses via Zoom calls and emails.

    | Duties may include research for articles & copyright compliance, writing articles, editing, marketing, and sponsor/advertiser research.
