SAPPER COMPETITION

Every Spring since 2005, the Sapper Association sponsors the annual Robert B. Flowers Best Sapper Competition held at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. According to their website, “It is a three-day competition open for two Person teams of Army or Marine Engineer MOS competitors in the grades of E4 and above.  A team must consist of at least one member who is a graduate of the Sapper Leader Course.

On January 4th, 2021, Kenneth Harrelson, a disabled Army Veteran, received a call from an associate asking if he would be able to drive up to DC and take over the security detail for another man who was unable to attend. Kenneth is an Oath Keeper, and they were headed to Washington DC to stand guard for the multiple speakers during, what was supposed to be, peaceful protests planned on January 5th & 6th. That decision would change the life of Kenneth and his family.
